PROJECT 3: Designing with Architectural Principles + Materiality + Context + User: Tropical Solitary Haven
In this final assignment, students were tasked to design a solitary haven at Wawasan Recreational Park, Puchong. Some key points we had to keep in mind while working on this assignment were:
- clean and healthy living and working environment
- access to nature to boost the immune system and improve psychological wellbeing
General requirements of the structure was to be within 100sqm and be able to accommodate 2 people (myself and a family member)

MY REFLECTION
In this final assignment, we had to work individually to produce a set of orthographic drawings, key drawings, detail drawings and diagrams. After the 7 weeks given to us to complete this project, I reflected and learned many things about designing architecture and a few things about myself. Combining those two together, I would say that I need to work on unifying my designs as I tend to go over the top with ideas. Besides that, I learned how to manage my time better when dealing with a lot of manual drawings and a model. All the feedback I received throughout this journey was very useful and I am sure that I will be able to think more in depth as a designer/ architect for my future studio projects.
